Meet Carissa
As a former collegiate cheerleader and coach, I understand the unique psychological demands of aerial sport environments—the intersection of precision, trust, and risk. I’ve experienced firsthand the realities of aerial awareness, perfectionism, mental blocks, and burnout. These aren’t obstacles to eliminate, but experiences to grow through.
My practice is grounded in autonomy. I tailor each session to the individual client, their performance domain, and the specific demands they face.
I work collaboratively with clients to help them show up as their authentic selves in every facet of performance.
Balance, acceptance and regulating emotions are central values to my work.
I help clients develop the awareness needed to conserve and direct their energy by aligning their values with action, rest, and recovery. Equal investment in recovery and skill execution leads to greater focus and joyful sustainability in sport. Balance is not something to chase; it is something to create.
Acceptance is equally foundational. My approach embraces the idea that everything is welcome—nothing is resisted, and nothing is held onto. Emotional regulation is not about eliminating discomfort, but about building the capacity to hol competing truths without judgement. Through this process, clients develop greater focus, psychological flexibility, and resilience under pressure.
My goal is to help clients build a relationship with their mind that enables a full out performance. If any of the above sentiments resonate with you, feel free to reach out below.
